Beacon : Clare Noonan. 25 MARCH - 12 APRIL, 2003

Noonan’s show exhibited her hand made slides containing carbon particles, that when projected, crawl up the wall. Alongside this work, Noonan exhibitied “Oil colum (liquid north)” and “Memory box” which complimented the slides dislocation of gravity. As Noonan explains, ‘Beacon explores landscape and scale through a set of works that allude to natural processes and constructed instruments. The use of base elements fond in the landscape are relocated in a series of interconnections and offer the viewer ways of reconsidering notions of location’.
