When playing are we learning? The innocence of child’s play has utopic connotations, unhindered by previous knowledge – decisions are made by instinct. When truly ‘playing’ we are in our own imaginary world, most of the time pretending to be someone or something else. The cowboy or the Indian? Utopia is an ideal state, harmonious, balanced and pure. A place which allows a closer union with nature through constant rejuvenation, almost omitting a zen like hum. Beautiful but conceptual and impossible in reality.
