Greg Malcolm plays an adapted guitar which he has had built by Lyttleton luither Peter Stephen. This guitar is a unique instrument. "His customised instruments give him the reach of a miniature orchestra"- David Keenan The Wire (May 2003). Chris O'Connor uses cymbals, gongs, bells' and whistles in fact anything within reach, as well as the standard drum kit, to create a range of sounds not often heard from the rhythm section. His playing has a strong 'musicality' and he is a joy to see play live.
