HSP in association with Crystal Magic presents Auckland based duo Golden Axe, who will be causing mischief, making art and performing music in late October. Taking up residence in an empty retail space in Poplar Street, Golden Axe will be bringing their unique brand of multimedia noise/pop to the street. Famous for their colourful get-ups, DIY assemblages and energetic live performances, Golden Axe are sure to ignite the mind and put a smile on your dial. Throughout the week Golden Axe will be constructing an enclosure that will be the setting for their live performance. Armed with materials including cardboard, tape, and lots of white paint, the project is sure to develop into an elaborate stage for their music performance
Golden Axe is a keyboard/waveform duo comprised of artist/musicians Dave King and Chris Cudby. Having held exhibitions and shows throughout New Zealand, both as Golden Axe and individually, HSP is, well, pretty damn excited really, to be supporting their first offsite project in Christchurch.
Come and check out the progress of their week–long art project, beginning October 22 and culminating in a one night only performance on Saturday October 27.
