PAUL SOMETHING - 'I got in the other day and there was this spindle of dvdrs on the door step...'. 29 September - 20 October, 2009

'I got in the other day and there was this spindle of dvdrs on the door step with some video works on them and the name 'paul' somewhere so me and a friend handbraked a few of them and did a compilation for a show at the gallery. We didn't have the time to invigilate the upstairs space every day so we installed the work at street level and locked the glass door so the public could just check out the work any time they were passing by. The opening occurred straight after a performance by Shoji Hano but it was more like a closing because we got everyone to leave the gallery before paul's exhibition was inaugurated, yet served orange juice on the street to make it seem adequately celebratory. Perhaps we'd get even more people along because Lichfield Street has really great pedestrian traffic flow and we're always looking for a more diverse crowd. The title of the show is contained herein, and continues in undocumented correspendence and thought amongst its audience both forward and backwards in time, here represented in abbreviated form with the appearance of ellipses...'
